The Salto Access system is available using a choice of three ID technologies :
iButton
The ibutton allows operating of the escutcheons and
readers by contact. Just by touching the carrier, a secured data
interchange takes place and access is granted to valid users.
iButton technology is an excellent ID form of access control. The iButtons feel like an electronic "touch key. They are composed of an embedded chip (inside an extremenly resistant stainless steel housing) mounted on an ergonomic and comfortable
plastic holder.
iButtons are available in two versions :
ROM (Read Only Memory) and
RW (Read Write) Advantages :
- Intuitive use through a smart electronic Touch Key.
- User comfort: Can be carried on the key ring along with the "traditional keys"
- Strong and ergonomic design for longevity.
- High resistance to variations in weather conditions.
- Copyproof data carrier for high security.
- Can be used with the SALTO Virtual Net (SVN).
Contact Smart Card
The Contact Smart Card is one of the main types of information carrier due to its depth of application with a wide range of compatible products. These features result in its great propensity for updating and programming any product it is used with, and enables many products to be controlled by one carrier.
The Contact Smart Card, a far more technologically advanced ID carrier
than the mag strip cards, changes completely the concept of "Master
Cards". Any profile is possible, and can be changed at any time. This
basically means that in "old mag stripe" terminology, any individual
Master Card combination is possible.
When combined with
SALTO Virtual Net (SVN), the Smart Cards will build up 'on-card' audit trails, to track personnel or guest movements.

Contactless Technology
The contactless proximity card allows operating of the locks and readers without the need for physically touching them. Just by approaching the carrier a secured data interchange takes place and access is allowed or denied. The cards are available using MIFARE, DESFIRE and LEGIC. These all all RFID in industry standard frequencies
The products are widely used in access control related applications such as multi-application company cards and large-scale leisure card projects. This multi-application possibility allows the Salto products to integrate with a large number of 3rd party applications that also use Legic or Mifare as ID technologies providers.
The system includes both non-wired stand-alone units as well as on line systems.
The contactless Smart Technology is widely used on all kinds of projects and is especially effective when multi-application is required.
When combined with
